The 45th Reunion of the HGS class of 1965 concluded on Saturday,
June 12, 2010. It was an extraordinary day, coinciding with the 350th
anniversary of HGS. It started with a Reunion Classes Luncheon, moving
on to a discussion group led by George Grande, then the dedication of
the new Thompson Center, and concluding with dinner and fireworks.
The day was exciting, at times very moving, and always very interesting.
As special as this event was, it will pale in comparison with our 50th,
however. Without the distractions of the 35th party, and with the
inevitability of the half century mark, it will be truly extraordinary! |

Postlude: Sunday morning, quietly, as the chairs and tents were prepared
to be whisked away, Dr. John's mother at age 93 came by for a
look.
Astonished, she was, by all the changes to the campus -- but not to
us! |
